Toddler Town News at 02:34 by Carol
This is our very first Toddler Town Newsletter! Although we'd like to speak to all of our wonderful parents and grandparents in person, we're creating this newsletter to better inform everyone about the happenings in Toddler Town.
First, I'd like to welcome our new friends Max, Emma (A2), and Zachary (A3) to Toddler Town. We're so glad you've joined our Hillcrest Kids family! Let's not forget our recent graduates from the Peanut Patch: Serenity, Lacie and Skylar. Welcome everyone!!!
Second, we'd like parents to know that on Fridays all of the items in the cubbies need to be packed away and stored over the weekend. We have limited space in our storage room and for this reason, we are asking all parents to please check your child's cubby on their last scheduled day of the week for items needing to go home (art work, jackets, dirty clothes, etc.). Please do not feel you need to empty the entire cubby. You may leave diapers, wipes and an extra set of clothes. Fridays are also a good time to take blankets home to be laundered. Fall is upon us. Where did the summer go? With the changing of seasons, we'd like to remind parents to bring a jacket every day. The afternoons are warm, but the mornings are cool. We want to play outside as much as possible before the icky rain starts.
As some of you know, the running room is now a temporary classroom. We'll be playing outside alot, but when the weather turns, the Toddler Town kids will still "wanna" run! Because large motor skills are so important at this age (and because toddlers have ALOT of energy) we will be using other areas as running room space. Although we don't encourage running in the halls (it's a no-no) we will be using the long hallway between the water fountain and the Peanut Patch. We have ride-ons, vacuums, push-poppers and balls to make this time really fun. This is a great long stretch to really let loose and run!!
Celebrate! Look who's having a birthday in October: 5th Teacher Carrie; 20th Bryce; 26th Ellie; 28th Isaac
The Terrific Twos are upon the A2 Class!
In closing, I'd like to ask everyone, if you have any questions or concerns about anything, please ask your child's teacher or an office staff member. We are here for you.
Looking forward to a Great Year!!
